Cafe im Schloss Glatt in Glatt

A very nice café with a nice ambience and a great location. Unfortunately we were a little disappointed a few years ago: We had made a reservation and should have run up stairs to our table. Our older companions found this very steep and exhausting and we asked for another possibility, whether one could sit down at another (free) seat. The only thing that came from the boss, who was probably a little stressed here, was "that everything has already been sorted out" and she looked very annoyed. Otherwise everything was fine and you can definitely recommend this café, unfortunately it has a stab for us due to what happened at the time and we don't visit it anymore.

First time to eat inside (yes, been a few times to eat black forest gateau) amazing interior and fabulous cake too!

Always a destination on my bike tours. The cakes are all handmade and very tasty. The pieces cost around 4 euros, but are super large and not everyone can eat the piece. The service is very attentive and nice. Sitting in the courtyard is very nice, inside is awesome. Really beautiful furnishings that are reminiscent of a castle - definitely have a look.

The moated castle Glatt is extremely beautiful and the museums are also worth seeing. You can't help but visit the castle cafe afterwards and enjoy a cheesecake or a Black Forest cake with a view of the castle. Yes, the pieces are huge, normally that would be too much for me, but I really wanted to eat this delicious cake. Yes, the waitress doesn't waste a word, but I can live with that. Gladly again.

I love to eat a huge piece of cake 🍰 like royalty. And by huge, I mean that, in the truest sense of the word. Because the pieces of cake are about a quarter of the cake ... during the week there is a little less going on. It's a trendy place on Sundays 😍

A very nice, rustic café, with a very large selection of delicious cakes. A very nice mix of café and museum. Lovingly furnished and has not lost the charm of knighthood and the Middle Ages. I felt very well.

A must for romantics and friends of the good old baroque! And of course a highlight for all coffee and cake fans! Absolute recommendation - I've known the castle for over 30 years and look forward to another visit every year!

Always a pleasure. Large pieces of cake at a fair price (€ 4). Street sales € 3.50. With several people (> 3) it is advisable to reserve a table - at least on weekends.

Very tasty cake - the Black Forest cake from the castle café is widely known. The portions are huge (almost too big) - that justifies the slightly higher prices. The atmosphere in the castle courtyard is wonderful and the service is very friendly. Top!

Not recommendable. The tables too narrow and too small. Despite reservation and agreement on the phone, not a large, handicapped accessible table as promised. Too little staff, the staff was rude and you were ignored. 2 cakes didn't come after waiting over an hour. Very disappointing

Cake tastes good, even if less would be more ... The service, however, was terribly unfriendly. Even if I understand that stress can arise when the restaurant is full. But when guests are served, snorting, rolling their eyes and in an impossible tone, this person is out of place in the service.

I would like to break a lance for this cafe: we sat outside under a shady tree and enjoyed both the cake and the caffeinated soft drinks. Someone wrote about unfriendly service. This was definitely not the case with us. Did I mention that the pieces of cake were huge and extremely tasty? Again any time...

As the name suggests, it is a rustic café in the courtyard of Schloss Glatt. It is very lively and popular because of the great cakes that you can enjoy there. There are indoor and outdoor seating (in the courtyard in front of the café entrance and around the back next to the Glatt river in the castle park.) A worthwhile visit for every connoisseur with a great view. You can park at the indicated parking spaces around the castle.

Cakes delicious and large pieces. Unfortunately a lot of bees who wanted my cherry cake too. Were there on 8/28/2020. For allergy sufferers and children, please sit inside. So many bees are dangerous to your life.

As always, it was great. As always, there are wonderful cakes and large pieces and everyone is very friendly. My family, who have never been there, were also enthusiastic.

It was very beautiful. I sat in the courtyard in the garden business. There are super delicious cakes 😍. Are huge pieces 🤣. I almost didn't make it. Service very friendly and prompt. There is also ice cream and fresh fruit with yogurt. Everyone will find something. I can highly recommend it.

As always!!! Delicious cakes in large portions. Great solution with the seats behind the castle, with a lot of sun. I can only recommend it.

Always nice to come over here for coffee and cake. Furnishing very rustic, sees pictures. Price / performance is great, the pieces of cake are huge! Employees mostly friendly. The cafe fills up between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. In order to get a seat you have to be lucky or reserve in advance!

Rustic cafe. So if you really want to eat cake, you have to visit the cafe. Large selection of cakes and tea. The pieces are really huge. And it's delicious too. Friendly quick service.

Quaint little cafe near the glatt castle. Tried the original German black forest cake and it was certainly different from the ones we get in the outside world. Not aure if everyone will like the original taste Slow Service is pretty/very slow, If you are in a hurry, don't even attempt to order anything. like in rest of rural Germany, they only accept cash. I liked the town even more, such a quiet and scenic one

As always, I choose here the Black Forest cake. A very large portion and tasted, as with every visit, outstanding! There was also a portion of hot chocolate. This was not too sweet and tasted perfect chocolate! The ambience is also very quaint and beautiful. I will come back several times this year! :)

By chance we stumbled upon this place and were glad we did. The cakes here are incredibly delicious and the portions are definitely large enough to share for two people.

Slow service. Bad taste of coffee. Schwarzwald cake nothing special. Bill: 11 €. Given: 13€. The waitress took for granted her tip, before giving me the change back.

Great cake. Okay coffee. Atmosphere is so unique with antique furnishings to fit the nearby castle!
